The other must show eligibility to work in the U.S. (for example, a social security card or U.S. birth certificate). For other acceptable forms of ID, ask an Excel representative.

Why are people working in medical offices and hospitals concerned about HIPAA?
HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act. Compliance with the Privacy Rule, which is an element of HIPAA that impacts people working in health-related facilities, was required as of April 14, 2003. The Privacy Rule contains requirements to protect the privacy and security of protected health information (PHI). PHI is any information related to the individual's health, health care, or payment for health care. Complying with HIPAA privacy regulations means being aware of day-to-day interactions with patient information to ensure patient privacy is protected. If you are assigned to work in a health-related facility, you must ensure that PHI is not disclosed inappropriately, accidentally, or negligently.
